It is the ultimate in modifiying women to keep them safe from abuse as opposed to actually addressing the systemic issues that are in place in a belief system and culture(s) that tolerate sexual violence towards women and children. I don't know if this is a journalistic focus or truly a parental one, but I found it disturbing. The entire situation is disturbing and sad to me.
