Just because you're not doing the physical work of finding a cure for HIV/AIDS, or building that schoolhouse in Africa, or defending the human rights of an unjustly-detained prisoner doesn't mean that what you think and say and write about those things doesn't matter. You raise awareness, get people thinking and examining and reconsidering. You inspire people to learn more about the world around them and the human beings around them, to have more empathy and understanding. And that, my friend, *is* extraordinary.
