oh my life. I’m in shock. maybe because I haven’t been following the trade rumours closely enough. but my heart momentarily stopped when i read about johnny damon going to the yankees this morning. this just blows my mind. my poor little battered heart can’t take much more.

and we will speak of johnny no more in this household. a pox upon him and a curse upon his family. feh. good riddance.

he needs to move on and for whatever his reasons, he should. it is the nature of who we are. we try things out, we make our decisions, we do what we think is best at the time. sometimes, we realize it was a mistake. sometimes, it is turns out to be the beginning of something so wonderful, it could never have been imagined at the time.
he owes us nothing, because he did what he was asked to do, entertain us. we owe
him our respect, for “going to the wall” and showing us his heart. in leaving, he takes out a full page ad in the globe to say thank you. showing appreciation for those who cheer you on, thats class.
