Camping this weekend – didn’t end up in the lakes district, but scotland! camped at castle douglas near the galloway national forest, took a day trip to edinburgh, and passed through liverpool to pay homage to the beatles on the way back.

full blog to come soon, but in the meantime, pictures here

why do four-day-workweeks seem to drag on so much longer than normal?

in any case, it’s the weekend. not too much planned – after-work drinks tonight, a few bbqs, some moving (moving in w/ j and need to start packing…again!), a little planning for the may bank holiday camping trip to inverness (the scottish highlands, for those of you not familiar). the weather has been gorgeous, and hopefully will hold the rest of the weekend. if it stays sunny, perhaps head to richmond, or kew gardens for a little vitamin d.

enjoy, y’all. peace out.

our plan for world domination

still caught up in the whirlwind. tonight I do my firewalk! tomorrow i’m off to amsterdam for angela’s 30th birthday blowout, crawling back to work on monday morning.

jonno and i are planning a year long trip around the world! seriously! leaving june 2005. i am in charge of planning the americas and europe, he’s in charge of planning asia, africa/mid-east, and pacific islands. i find it too hard to narrow my choices though, so left to me, we’d spend the whole year hitchhiking through central america.

i know, i know, pictures of bath and rome are still outstanding, pictures of the firewalk and amsterdam to come. i *will* get them up by the end of next week, i swear, i just haven’t been home in a month to edit/arrange/publish them. hell, i’ve barely even had a chance to look at them myself.

happy 87th b-day grampa maddock! love you lots.

eye-talian for “snog”?

off to Rome tomorrow morning! haven’t had an opportunity to so much as crack a phrasebook, but no matter – i don’t need to speak the language for snogging. alex has arranged a swanky suite for us at the hotel mediterraneo. if i don’t make it back, that’s where i’ll be holed up with some tall dark italian stallion, preferably with little-to-no command of the english language…

(oh, in case you were wondering what bruce looks like, i linked a pic below)

just how fucking repressed *are* americans?!?

this is just getting waaaay too ridiculous. janet has become the biggest internet search term of all time. justin says his family was embarrassed. jc chavez can’t play at the pro-bowl. e.r. can’t show an elderly woman’s breast.

and in true american fashion, someone is suing for cbs and mtv for “serious injury”, officially making us the laughingstock of the world.

get a grip people! haven’t we got bigger things to be outraged over???

this cartoon sums it all up perfectly.

so this webpage just gets fancier and fancier every day. which of course means, that when things go wrong (as they are wont to do) i’ll never be able to do the maintenance. however this snazzy new scroll feature, makes me happy for the moment.

and I have managed to turn harley the cat’s page into a slide show. lookee here. why harley’s page? because he is the bestest cat in the whole world. with the fewest pictures (setting it up is a byotch).

in the rest of my life, work sucks. this “project management” thing is rapidly turning into a giant pain in the ace. however, I seem to have acquired a consultant-type status. which means I got to go home at 3:30 today, as I “manage my own hours”.

ready for alicante this weekend. flatmate angela has begun organising her 30th b-day do, which will take place in amsterdam the weekend of march 27th. should be fun, but my stomach is already queasy at the thought after my last experiment with the evil fungi. no more o’ that.

wanna see the weather in alicante? i knew you did. later alligator.

hurrah! hurrah! I seem to have figured this webpage thing out. So i’ve put up a few more photos (family, friends and pets). check ‘em out here

In the meantime, Emily is coming to visit me in london this weekend, and next weekend, nick and i are off to the warmer climes of alicante, spain. it won’t exactly be beach weather, but it should be around 18 C (which is somewhere in the upper 60s for you fahrenheit folks). break out the tee-shirts, I’m ready for sand and sangria aplenty. i’m sooo ready – it’s been rainy here for like, forever, man
