it’s a good thing we don’t have kids
sure, everyone has nicknames for their pets… but i like to think we put a little imagination into it.
zeke
ezekiel
zekey
zizi
zekelino
bubba
buddy
pipsqueak
dingleberry
fuzzbucket
twinkletoes
prancer
frog-stomper
teh kitteh
furry feline friend
peeping tom
…and on sunday mornings at 5:30am, an especially heartfelt “for-the-love-of-all-that-is-holy-and-good-shuddup-already!!!”
lucky for him he’s pretty cute.

That’s a gorgeous photo of Zeke! Lovin’ the long list of nicknames, too. We only have a few for Lola but about a gazillion for the kids. For some reason I’ve taken to calling Evan ‘babushka’ which is Russian for grandmother. I have no idea why I do this but it’s stuck. It even gets shortened to ‘booshie’ and ‘bubski’. Very odd.

funny, i’ve used the babushka nickname for a long time (for multiple pets, kiddos, etc.) wonder where the hell it comes from?
